With a total area of about 2.5 sq. miles, the town of Long Neck is a part of the Sussex County. Long Neck is also a part of the DMSA, Seaford area. There were a number of mobile home communities. These homes also served as summer vacations for the locals. There is a famous golf course at Baywood Greens and another one at the Peninsula. These golf courses are a center of economic activity.
