With a total area of about 2 sq. miles, Ocean View is a small town of Sussex County in the state of Delaware. Ocean View is also a part of the Metropolitan Statistical Area of Seaford. It lies within Baltimore hundred. The town of Ocean View is slowly turning itself into the bedroom community of the nearby summer resort of the beach at Bethany. There are a number of churches, a town park and a school in the area. The town of Ocean View is the birthplace of the commercial broiler industry and now it has turned as the most important agricultural activity in the town.
