Pleasant Grove is a city of Alabama located in western Jefferson County. It is among of the Birmingham metropolitan territories which established in 1889, but incorporated as a city in January 1937. The nickname of Pleasant Grove is "The Good Neighbor City". As of 2010 census, the total population were 10,110, 3,715 households, and 2,857 families living in the area. It has latitude of 33°29′33″N 86°58′23″W with approximately total area of 8.8 square miles (23 km2), all land based to the U.S. Census Bureau. Pleasant Grove is known for its Milk Creek, so named for its smooth white shading and thick, calcious surface.
