Smiths Station or also known as Smiths is a city located in the U.S. state of Alabama. It is within Lee County and a member of the Columbus, Georgia-Phenix City, Alabama Metropolitan Statistical Area. It was first settled in 1845. Smiths Station derived its name from a prominent settler, Mr. Broadus Smith. On June 22, 2001, it became an incorporated place and recognized as the 2nd newest city next to Center Point. According to the census of 2010, Smiths Station had a total population of 4,926 and population density of 772.04/sq mi.
