Vestavia Hills is a fast growing city located in the U.S. state of Alabama. It is nestled both counties of Jefferson and Shelby with a total area of 19.41 square miles at 33°25′59″N 86°46′44″W. The elevation is 951 feet above sea level. Vestavia Hills school system is known for high quality education which consists of five elementary schools, two middle schools, one alternative school and one high school. The city was named for the 20-acre estate of former Birmingham mayor George B. Ward. As of 2010 census, Vestavia Hills had a total population of 34,033 individuals.
