The area portion of Bibb County is included in the Birmingham metropolitan area while the town portion of Tuscaloosa County is included in the Tuscaloosa metropolitan area. The town was officially named as "Woodstock" on October 1, 2000. Woodstock total area is approximately 7.2 square miles at 33.201248°N 87.150242°W. It has an elevation of 571 feet above sea level.
