Best Services

HOLLY HILL, Fla. - Sept. 14, 2020 - PRLog -- These days – with crime, poverty, and the ongoing pandemic seemingly everywhere – everyone is feeling overwhelmed and even the strongest individual shouldn't be afraid to reach out for a helping hand when they need to do so.

Based out of Holly Hill, Florida, the Stress and Anxiety Center is an important community resource that service a variety of programs that can help people cope with today's stressful world that we all live in, according to Derrick Collins, who serves as Director of the Center.

"We provide one-on-one and group-based mental health counseling for depression, anxiety, and other issues, with a focus on adolescents," he said. "We also do court-ordered assessments for people who are on probation. For example, if someone needs substance abuse or anger management classes to satisfy their parole or a court or custody case, they could come here for that."

The majority of the services offered by the Stress and Anxiety Center are for members of the general community, in addition to the work they do work with individuals within the court system. Collins himself has 10 years of experience and his staff possess a wide range of knowledge in a variety of specialized services, all tailored to help people with most problems that life throws at them.

In terms of insurance, the Stress and Anxiety Center accepts Medicaid and can offer sliding scale fees in select cases.

The Stress and Anxiety Center first opened for business in Casselberry, Florida in 2003; more recently, they opened their second office in Holly Hill in order to serve that community as well. The Center was founded by Collins' father, so it would not be a stretch to say that helping people is clearly in the family's blood.

"I have 10 years of experience, and my father has over 30 years…plus, all of my counselors are Masters level and fully licensed," he said. "We have a variety of initiatives here, including a mentor program for people who need mental health counseling in a group setting. We want to help people who need it and can deal with all sorts of issues, including depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. We specialize in helping adolescents, but we'll help anyone who needs it."
