We have been going to Tropicool for several years, and always had a good experience. Tonight, however, I was very disappointed. I took my children and a friend. They both wanted large gelatos. Their friend ordered first, and I guess she mistakenly said regular, instead of large. When my daughter ordered hers, her friend realized her mistake, apologized, and asked if she could have a large. This seemed to cause a lot of unease among the teenage staff. I then asked if they could please change it to a large. At this point an older woman came over and very abruptly said that no, they could not change it. She said, "we asked twice if that was a regular and she said yes." She added that if it was just an ice they would change it, but would not because it had ice cream. I was going to order something, but did not. This really bothered me as we are regular customers. The girls were not rude, but very apologetic about the mistake. In addition, there is not that much ice cream in the gelato, so Tropicool is not losing big bucks by remaking it for a customer. I'm not sure I will be going back again.
