Using a metal detector and magnets I found 8 lbs. of nails and other metal in the black dyed mulch that wasn't supposed to contain ground up pallets.

The owner asked me if I had anything better to do than call and complain. He claimed it was a dirty semi-truck that had the debris in it from a prior load before hauling the mulch to his location. Rule #1 in shotty customer service -- blame it on the other guy. That call ended in a testosterone charged cursing match. The next call was fielded by his wife, Dawn. She hung up on me. Rule #2 -- Its a business phone. Unless you aren't going to take any new business, you have to answer my calls.

Fast forward 4 days. My credit card company says I have to give them a chance to make amends. I don't call a $6 / yrd. refund, amends. That's an insult.
