Incense and potpourri are available for retail sale in Columbus. Incense sticks are composed of a number of organic materials that release fragrant chemicals on igniting (the smoke is fragrant). An ash residue is left at the end of it. It is used in religious rituals, meditation and aromatherapy. Potpourri, on the other hand, is a mixture of dried plant material, such as flowers, bark and leaves, which are mixed and packed in cloth or gauze bags, or kept open in a bowl. They give rise to a pleasant, lingering aroma in the room. They are used to perfume the air of the room, or sachets are placed between clothes to make them smell good. Both of these can come in a variety of flavors and fragrances.
