I too have witnessed horrendous behavior when it comes to some of the coaches with St. Joe's CYO. The soccer coach Brian, who i believe must be the one referenced in the previous review (though i do not know of that last name), somehow makes the games all about himself. He does not shake hands or greet the other team before/after games, shows no sportsmanship or courtesy when am opposing teams child gets injured on the field, has lied in front of two entire teams' worth of parents of minor things like whose throw-in it is after the ball goes out of the play, stops the ball in the middle of action to walk off the field with it; then come back and give his team a free kick, and substitutes kids on the fly to create scoring chances (with one player coming off the sideline in the offensive half of the field to start a rush with the ball, while a defenseman in his end then runs off, like in hockey) in a league where you must alert the ref of a player change during a play stoppage. Yet, he's the first AND LOUDEST to complain about if a coach does something incorrect or not to his liking against his team. It's supposed to be about fun and learning for the kids, not something you think is going to appear on your personal coaches resume in a professional league!!

Horrible CYO sports leagues. Joe is the head of the soccer branch, and the guy is an absolute pushover. He has 'coaches' like Brian Pantajo who pulls any stunt he can just to give his group of players and advantage--- and these are 7 and 8 year olds! This guy behaves worse than those he is supposed to be leading, preaching to WIN AT ALL COSTS! Along with fellow coach Scott Kudzick, these 'adults' (very questionable use of the word) have started mini-riots the past 2 seasons, mainly because neither of them bothers to teach their players about SAFETY and SPORTSMANSHIP. Slide tackling from behind and headbutting are common traits viewed when watching one of these coaches teams at work, and when opposing teams' parents become irate they both throw their arms up in the air and tell Joe they don't understand what the commotion is about--- and Joe blindly goes along with it. Save your child a trip to the hospital, and enroll your children instead in the Connetquot Soccer League.
