The Town of Agawam is a city in Hampden County, Massachusetts. It is on the western side of the Connecticut River, across from the of Springfield. It is considered part of the Springfield Metropolitan Statistical Area, and its population at the 2010 census was 28,438. Agawam contains a subsection, Feeding Hills.
The Bowles Airport, established in 1930, and the racetrack established adjacent to it, were both demolished and turned into an industrial park. Agawam is also home to Six Flags New England, the largest amusement park in New England. The town also has a museum, a hiking trail and a state park.
