Alamo is a town in and the county seat of Crockett County, Tennessee. It has a total area of 2.2 square miles, all of which is land. The town is at a distance of about 30 miles from Mississippi River. The town was initially named Cageville, which was changed to Alamo in 1869. The town was incorporated in 1911.
