Alamo is a town in Hindalgo County, Texas. It is in the northern part of the county, and is also known as the "Land of Two Summers". It is part of the McAllen-Edinburg-Mission Metro Area, and has a total area of 5.7 square miles, all of which is land.

Agriculutre and tourism are the major commercial activities here. Citrus groves are plentiful here, and winter homes popular. Other commercial activities include construction and retail trade. Public schoolig here is administered as a part of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District and the Donna Independent School District.
