Allison is a community in Wheeler County, Texas. It is an unincorporated area in the northeastern part of the county, and is named after railroad manager, R. H. Allison.

Natural gas, oil and helium deposits in the area have contributed greatly to the local economy. Recently, the Allison Independent School District was merged with the Fort Elliott Consolidated Independent School District. The cost of living here 22.40% lower than the country average.
