Armonk is located in the County of Westchester. With has a total area of about 16 sq. kms., it is situated at an elevated height of about 388 ft. from the ground level. There is a public library in Armonk and the Country Club of Whippoorwill. The local central school district of Byram Hills opeates a number of schools in the town. The education sector is one of the principal sources of employment oppurtunities in the region. IBM has its global headquarters here. There is a big re-insuance company in Armonk and the Kensico Reservoir. A large number of annual events are held in the town attracting lot of visitors from around.
