Armour is a city in and the county seat of Douglas County, South Dakota. It has a total area of 0.9 square miles. 1.05% of the area is water, and the rest is land. It is named after Philip D. Armour, the founder of Armour and Company, a meat packing company. Though the company itself wasn't located here, the owner also owned the railroad that went through the town. He also donated the church bell.
