About Us

Robert W. Powers, Jr., MD, earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. He then completed his internship and residency at Emory University affiliated hospitals and his fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. He is a member of the Georgia Surgical Society and the Michael E. DeBakey Cardiovascular Society. He is board certified in vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Powers joined the Piedmont Hospital medical staff in 1982.
