Attalla is a city in Etowah County, Alabama. It is part of the Gadsden Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city has a total area of 6.7 square miles, all of which is land. It was incorporated in 1872, and the name officially adopted in 1893.
The city had the first functional hydroelectric dam in the world. Attalla's cost of living is 18.90% lower than the country average, making living significantly cheaper here.
