Ashwin Gowda, MD is board certified in sleep medicine and psychiatry. He has been providing care to those in South Austin since 2002 and is currently the Medical Director of Texas Sleep Medicine. His medical practice offers consultations, sleep studies (in the lab and at home studies) and all ongoing care to ensure the best possible outcome. Common sleep disorders diagnosed and treated include snoring/obstructive sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, insomnia, parasomnias and circadian rhythm disorders.
Dr. Gowda is board certified in Sleep Medicine and Psychiatry. His education includes a one-year medical internship at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and a three-year residency in psychiatry at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and a one year fellowship in sleep medicine at SUNY (State University of New York) in Stony Brook, New York.
Above all else, Dr. Gowda finds fulfillment in contributing to the well-being of every person he cares for. Dr. Gowda is married and has 3 boys. When he’s not helping people get a good night’s sleep, he enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the Austin food scene, bicycling and playing tennis.
