Baraboo is not only the largest city but also the county seat of Sauk County. This city is located just by the river of Baraboo and it is also the principal city of the Micropolitan Statistical Area of the same. Baraboo has a total area of about 14 sq. kms. Among the most prominent places, there is the Circus World Museum, Ringling Brothers Circus and a few others. One of the prominent landmarks of Baraboo is the Al. Ringing Theatre. The International Crane Foundation is a well known voluntary organisation dedicated for the preservation of cranes. There is a local school district and it operates a number elementary schools in the area. There is also a campus of the Wisconsin University. Among industries located in the area, the Imperial Multimedia is located here. The Shack and Farm of Aldo Lepold is historically famous and attracts a substantial number of tourists in the area. A noted local resident of the town is Tiny Cahoon, a well known NFL player.
