With a total area of about 2.5 sq. miles, Baraga is a village located in the County of Baraga. The village of Baraga is named after Frederic Baraga, a local Bishop. It is located on the bay of L' Anse of the Superior Lake.  Baraga is elevated at a height of about 630 ft. from ground level. Most of the villagers are primarily related with farms and other farm related activities like cottage industries.
