Bartlett is a small village located in the County of Cook and DuPage. Kane County is a small piece of land located on the western border of the city. With a total area of about 40 sq. kms, the village of Bartlett got its name from Luther Bartlett, who offered land for the construction of the railway line. There are a large number of shops and business establishments in the area. The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir and its adjoining haveli attracts a substantial number of tourists from all faiths and helps in the growth of the local economy. There are a large number of schools in the area and they offer plenty of educational and employment oppurtunities for the locals.
