Bartlett is a city in Shelby County, Tennessee. It is part of the Memphis Metro Area. It has a total area of 23.42 square miles. The city was settled and founded around 1830, and was essentially a farming community. It was named and incorporated in 1866. It is named after Major Gabriel M. Bartlett, one of the pioneer settlers in the area.
