The town of Brook has a total area of about 1 sq. mile. It is a part of the Iroquois Township, which is a part of the Newton County. The local Conservation club of Iroquis organises an Annual Contest for Fishing, which attracts quite a few number of tourists from the vicinity. There is also an elementery school in the area, which provides employment to some of the locals. Lester Spangler is an important resident of the town.
