Butler is a city located in the County of Pendelton in the US state of Kentucky. With a total area of about 0.7 sq. kms., Butler is located at an elevated height of about 550 ft. above the ground level. The city was established after the construction of Central Railroad of Kentucky and it was named after the former U.S. Congressman W.O. Butler.



Most of the citizens of the city are primarily engaged with tourism and trade. Some are also involved with curio-shops, hotels and restaurants which have grown, thanks to the booming tourism industry. There is a Post Office in the area. The locally situated Fryer House is an important historical building and helps to attract considerable amount of tourists in the area.
