Canton is a city of Madison County in the state of Mississippi. A major part of the city is under the National Register of Historical Places. There is a large automobile manufacturing facility in the town, operated by Nissan. The Courthouse Square is a historical shopping district. Canton is famous for its rail and logisticsal center. The total area of Canton is around 49 sq. kms. It is elevated at a height of about 234 ft. from the ground level.
