The city of Concord is the capital of the state of New Hampshire in the United States.Concord lies fully within the Merrimack River watershed.Concord is operated by the mayor-council system.Concord has several landmarks and other tourist attractions.

The city would become noted for furniture-making and granite quarrying.Concord became a hub for the railroad industry, with Penacook a textile manufacturing center using water power from the Contoocook River. Today, the city is a center for health care and several insurance companies. It is also home to Concord Litho, one of the largest independently owned commercial printing companies in the country.Most of the public schools of the city are run by the Concord School District.
