With a total area of about 0.8 sq. miles, Cottonwood is located in the County of Idaho. It's location is just west to the U.S. Route No. 95. Cottonwood is located between Lewiston and Grangville. The city has a total area of about 0.8 sq. miles. Tourism and recreation related services are some of most important part of the local economic activity. The ski area of Cottonwood Butte is located on the western part of the city and it is on the eastern face of Cottonwood mountain range. Local residents are primarily engaged with tourism, education and trade. The local ski resort also attracts a large number of ski enthusiasts and the Dog Bark Park is also a favorite place for recreation.
