Dora is a city in Walker County, Alabama. Its population at the 2000 census was 2,413. It is part of the Birmingham-Hoover Metro Area, and has a total area of 7.5 square miles, all of which is land.

It comprises one elementary school and one high school. The closest hospital is the Medical West, an affiliate of the UAB Health System, located about 16 miles away in Bessemer.
