Eagle is a city of Ada County. With the increasing trend of growth in the Metropolitan area of Boise, Eagle is becoming increasingly suburban. With an area of over 9 sq. miles, Eagle is situated at an elevated point of about 2,550 ft. The school District of Meridan operates a number of schools under its umbrella.
