East New Market has coffee roasting outlets and/or equipment for sale. Coffee is a beverage that is brewed from the roasted seeds of the coffee plant. The bean, originally green in color, is roasted at a temperature of 392 °F. The roasting time and temperature can vary, and this gives rise to the different flavors and colors of coffee available, which is usually classified under light, medium, medium-dark, dark (though industry standards aren't always clear). The roasting caramelizes the starches in the bean, produces the characteristic dark brown color. The roasting is done in special equipment called roasters. They can be of different sizes, and can have the capacity for upto 300kg of beans at a time. Theese equipment are powered by fuels such as methane and natural gas. They have individually specific roast times (output). Ancillary equipment may also be sold in East New Market, such as destoners, loaders, afterburners, oxidizers, blending mixers, and so on. Many such equipment now come with green certification.
