Glasco is a village in Ulster County, New York, United States. Glasco is a community in the Town of Saugerties east of U.S. Route 9W within the north of Kingston, New York. It derived its name from a glass company inhabited in the mountain area several miles inland. The glass was carried by horse down the "Glasco Turnpike" to the banks of the Hudson where it was transmitted on for ports of sale. The settlement on the river where the glass was filled acknowledged as Glasco.
