Glenville is a town located in Schenectady County, New York, United States. It was incorporated in 1821. The town of Glenville comprises the part of Schenectady County north of the Mohawk River which derived its name after Alexander Lindsay Glen who was a native of Scotland. In 1978, The Seeley Farmhouse of Glenville was listed on the National Register of Historic Places; and the Swart House and Tavern in 2007 respectively.
