Groveland is a town centrally located in Livingston County, New York, United States. It is on the Rochester-to-Dansville line of the Rochester & Southern Railroad. Groveland was formed in 1789 and its first settlement occurred in 1792 and was called "Willamsburgh." The Town of Groveland was the site of the Boyd and Parker ambush. The Claud No. 1 Archeological Site was listed to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. Groveland has zip codes 14462, 14545.
