Kapolei is located in the Honolulu County of Hawaii state. Kapolei is situated in the island of Oahu. One of the major developers of the region is the Property Development company of Kapolei. A majority portion of the land is under the Estate of industrialist James Campbell. Kapolei is situated upon former pineapple and sugarcane fields. The city is gradually turning into an urban center with various on-going road building projects. Some of the future structures of Kapolei are the Hawaii-West Oahu University, which is being shifted to a new campus and there is also the High Capacity Honolulu Transit corridor Project. The Government and the infrastructure provides substantial scope of employment oppurtunities for the locals. There is also substantial scope of employment in the education sector.
