Ledyard is a town located in the county of New London in Connecticut state of USA. Ledyard is located beside the river Thames. Covering a total area of about 103.7 sq. kms., it is located at an elevated height of about 296 ft. above the sea level. the town was named after Col. W. Ledyard, a revolutionary war soldier. There is a local Post office in the area and most of the local inhabitants are primarily involved with agriculture, trade, retail, health care and other related activities. Some are also engaged in seasonal tourism.
