One or more medical centers and clinics are operated out of Louisville. A clinic is usually a center where outpatient services are offered. They mainly help manage the primary health service needs of the local population. On the other hand, a medical center or a hospital has facilities for inpatient care (overnight stay facilities). These usually have specialized care available for more serious health issues, such as cancer, blood disorders, etc.
