Prattville is a city located in the counties of Autauga and Elmore in Alabama. It covers a total area of 33.8 square miles with 0.9 square miles of water. The city is elevated by 328 feet above the sea level.
The city of Prattville was founded by architect and industrialist Daniel Pratt in 1839. In 2008, the city suffered severe damages due to a large tornado.
Prattville has a strong education system with eight schools including the Autauga County Technology Center. The city is also served by the Montgomery television market, with two cable television services operating in the area. There are two news publications functional in the area. Among its recreational offerings, Prattville is a notable golf destination. It is also boasts of High Point Town Center which is a large shopping center.
