Scottsboro is a city in the U.S state of Alabama. It became the largest community in Jackson County which encompasses the eastern part to Georgia and north the Tennessee. Scottsboro was founded and named after Robert Scott. The city lose its distinction from 1900 to 1920 but reclaiming the title back in 1930. It geographically located at 34°39′5″N 86°2′33″W with an elevation of 689 feet. It has an approximate total land area of 51.7 square miles. Estimated total population was about 14,677 residents with an average density of 289.74/sq mi at the 2016 census data. Scottsboro Zip codes are 35768-35769.
