The town of Semmes is a Mobile metropolitan statistical area in the U.S. state of Alabama. It lies in western portion of Mobile County surrounded by Big Creek Lake to the west, Citronelle to the north, and south to the city of Mobile. Semmes elevation is 217 feet at 30.778N, -88.259W. The census data recorded Semmes with 2,897 total residents in population density of 500.72/sq mi. On May 2, 2011, the town became incorporated courtesy of Judge Don Davis. The Mobile County Public Schools system is serving education to the town people. There are about 65,000 total enrollees.
