Taylor is a town located in the U.S. state of Alabama. It resides in both counties of Geneva and Houston. Taylor is bounded by Dothan in northeast, Rehobeth in the southeast, and Malvern in the southwest. It is a member of Dothan, Alabama Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town total area is approximately 7.5 square miles. Taylor has an elevation of 331 feet above sea level. In the 1870s, the town was first settled and named after a family that helped establish the first post office. Taylor became an incorporated in June 1967. As pf 2010 census, it had a total population of 2,375. The population density was 324.69/sq mi. Taylor has Zip codes 36301 and 36305.
