Tifton is a city located in the U.S. state of Georgia. It resides and the county seat of Tift County on Interstate 75, which goes north to south through the city, leading 167 mi of Atlanta to the north and 45 mi of Valdosta to the south. It has a total area of 9.0 square miles at 31°27′48″N 83°30′36″W. The elevation is 354 feet above sea level. As of the 2010 census data, it had a total population of 16,350.
