Brief Information About Troy

The city of Troy is located in the U.S. state of Alabama. It is the county seat of Pike Country along the Gulf of Mexico in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region and one of the fastest growing cities in Alabama. Pike County Lake lies at the southern tip of Troy. The first settlement was dated 1824 which originally called the Deer Stand Hill then later known as Zebulon and Centreville. It was renamed to Troy in 1838. During 1843, the town became an incorporated place. It has a total population of 19,191 individuals and a population density of 680.10/sq mi according to the recent census.
