I am a Caribbean-American female originally from the Bronx, NY. Many youth and young adults struggle with stressors from social life, peer pressure, social media, bullying, self esteem, relationships, sexual orientation, sexual health, pressures from school/work and family conflicts. All of these stressors can cause anxiety, depression, anger, withdrawal, substance use, etc. I became a therapist because I often saw my peers experience these stressors without healthy outlets or supports.
