Beaverton is a town in Lamar County, Alabama. The town was named by Naylow Rodney in 1789, as he encountered a large number of beavers in the area. The town was incorporated in 1910. The total city area is 4.6 square miles, and it is all land. It is situated at an elevation of 350 feet.
