Buxton is a small community town located on the island of Hatteras, which is a part of the outer banks. It is located near the Hatteras Cape. Buxton is a part of the County of Dare and a large number of locals are involved with tourism and the local education sector. Buxton has no Post Office but other small facilities related to health and the educational sectors. Tourism also offers some oppurtunities for the locals.
