Ashland is a town in Grafton County, New Hampshire. Its population at the 2010 census was 2,076. The entire town lies within the Merrimack River watershed

Historically, the town initially was agriculture based, and then it became an industrial center, with a sawmill, a gristmill and the Squam Lake Woolen Mill.
