Mohamed A. Abdelwahab, M.D., Ph.D is a sleep surgeon who specializes in providing a variety of procedures for comprehensive management of sleep apnea. This includes surgery to the pharyngeal airway, the nose, the facial skeleton (face), and the tongue base.

Stanford has pioneered the field of sleep apnea surgery since the 1970s. Dr. Abdelwahab is otolaryngology trained, and specializes in facial skeletal surgery and nasal surgery.
Dr. Abdelwahab's clinical and academic (research) work over the last years has focused on outcome measures after facial skeletal and nasal surgery for sleep apnea, as well as real-world evidence for sleep surgery.
