'Arbitration and mediation' are both legal techniques which are used to solve legal conflicts. Arbitration and mediation both are forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). In Cumberland, there are lots of arbitration and mediation centers which aim to solve these legal disputes. Though arbitration and mediation are used for the same purpose, there is a difference between them. In Cumberland, arbitration has an arbitrator who hears both sides and gives a decision which both sides are bound to follow legally. Mediation has a neutral mediator who helps both sides to solve their problem and come to a consenting conclusion.
